Just never expected our week to be so much fun and filled with all the extras Ireland could provide for us in one week. The food, the tours, the friendships created and all the memories of a special Home Comfort week will be talked about and treasured always.
When I now think of Ireland, I think of castles, sheep, new friends, thousands of pictures and being able to kiss the Blarney Stone. Thanks for making our stay so memorable and so very enjoyable.

"The Killarney Manor House was comfortable with en suite bedrooms for each couple. Our hosts, Gail and Rich, prepared delicious meals and conversation flowed around the table as we made new friends. Each day, a luxury van transported us to different historic and scenic areas of southwest Ireland. We also liked being able to walk to Killarney for two dinners before concerts. The intimate experience of staying in a large home with breakfasts and most dinners provided was a very relaxing way to travel."

Set in the countryside, The Chateau de Courtomer is a magnificent venue that is rich in history. Rich and Gail chose this property to give us a wonderful taste of the Normandy region of France. We could explore on our own or take arranged trips and return each day to our “Chateau” where we could relax and share our travels. Rich and Gail shopped for all the local favorite foods and beverages to ensure that we had a memorable trip. If you are looking for a unique experience with the comforts of home and lots of laughter, then you should travel with Rich and Gail!

What a great time we had at Villa GG in Split, Croatia. Rich and Gail Lambert spent a few days getting the Villa ready for our sizable group and it showed. From Day 1 we felt the special care and concern for our well being by our superb hosts—the accommodations, the home cooked meals provided, and the amenities available made our visit to Dalmatia a most memorable one. We were provided transport to all the places of interest to include: Split, Sarajevo, Mostar, Dubrovnik, other market towns and even a day on the water visiting the islands in the Adriatic. The beach was within walking distance of our Villa and we dined at the most picturesque restaurants overlooking the Adriatic, all arranged by the Lamberts. We had our adult children with us and they were in awe of this experience as well. We were also impressed with the enthusiasm of the Croatians to insure we had a pleasant experience. Their personal guides were second to none— the best we have ever had. This Home Comfort week in Croatia is clearly at the top of the list of Great Value trips. It has our highest recommendation.

We just had our 3rd trip with Home Comfort Travel. This time to Ireland. Every trip and villa is unique and so much fun! Rich knows how to put the ‘Comfort’ in Home Comfort Travel by greeting guests as they arrive, stocking the kitchen with munchies and always having great smelling food on the stove.
Guests are free to do their own sightseeing or Rich will assist with arranging tours as needed. He gathers all kinds of information in each destination so you always have plenty to do or just sit and read a book at the villa. He also helped me plan a birthday celebration for my husband in Ireland and that was a great treat!

An exceptional church history tour with charming lodgings in the picturesque Cotswold region with day trips into historic London and excursions to other surrounding villages. Delicious meals at our quaint lodgings and great selected menus at area pubs and eateries. Especially enjoyed the fresh, local fish and chips along with stops for tea and scones!

Schloss Wasserburg was our third vacation with HomeComfort Travel. As always, we were extremely pleased with our accommodations and the location. Our assigned bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The large living room, two dining rooms and library were comfortable meeting places in an amazing, historic castle, and the Schloss location was ideal for local exploring and a short train ride into Vienna. Once again, Rich and Gail excelled with delicious breakfasts and elegant evening dinners.

My husband and I along with some neighbors, college friends and others spent 5 days at Hacienda Dona Andrea outside Santa Fe, New Mexico. Such a delightful experience! High on a mountain hillside, the Hacienda is beautiful with well decorated rooms, each having their own private adobe fireplace, and there is even a small chapel. The grounds were lovely. All was well kept with marvelous amenities. Rich provided excellent food and drink as he always does. The Hacienda is a great get away spot with easy access to the Santa Fe art and culinary scene along with other points of interest in the area. One of our most memorable vacations!

We had a wonderful time staying at Villa Teresa, a spectacular and very private estate located in the heart of Tuscany. All bedrooms were spacious with private baths and we even had an elevator which was invaluable in transporting our luggage up to our rooms.
Rich was a great help in facilitating our planning for all phases of the trip. Our package included three day tours with a world class tour guide. We enjoyed a hands on cooking class of traditional Italian dishes and wine tasting at a local vineyard.
The cuisine prepared by Rich at the Villa was outstanding. Each day he prepared our breakfast to start our day and we even had hors d'oeuvres awaiting us when we returned from our day trips. Highlighting our cuisine experience were three memorable dinners Rich prepared along with a dinner that he hosted at a quaint local restaurant.
This was our first trip with HomeComfort Travel and we can truly say that it was a Five Star experience!

We have so enjoyed the places we have stayed at, the wonderful food and we have enjoyed the great company of our fellow travelers.

We particularly enjoyed the evening gatherings at the villa where we could discuss the our daily adventure with the others and, to hear about theirs. Related to this, we thoroughly enjoyed the format of being able to travel either on our own or in small groups at our own pace, and to destinations of our choice and time, and then to be able to return to our “home” base–the villa. The lively dinner gatherings and discussions were also great.

Dating from the 15th Century, Chateau LaGorce in France was a perfect location for day trips in the French countryside and most of all a place to come home to and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, a glass of wine, and a meal with special people. Our master of ceremonies, Rich Lambert, secured the chateau, scoured the markets for regional delicacies, made the first toast to the evening, and created meals with paired wines fit for royalty. Our week included “One Perfect Night” where Rich and the men treated the women to a special evening. We took the opportunity and a great backdrop to take a group photo.

Just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed your trip to Bordeaux, France. This was our first trip with you and it could not have met our expectations more. The uniqueness of Chateau LaGorce, your fine dining extravaganzas, the freedom to enjoy the area as we wanted and all the details that you organized turned this into a very memorable experience. I would highly recommend this type of trip to anyone wishing to travel to unique destinations in a very distinctive manner.
